We all have that one gun. It's either the one you learned to shoot with, or that one that makes you "excited" every time you see it. I recently acquired mine. It's not special. It's shiny. It goes bang.
This little pop gun was my dad's. It was the gopher getter. I learned to shoot with it.
Years ago it went out of time. It's double action and just wouldn't work right. Dad had to have it fixed. I contacted many well known SAA shooters about fixing it. Nobody wanted to attempt it. I found a hobby machinist that was in to guns that was willing to take a whirl at it. He made all new internals, lightened the trigger, and just made it friggin fun to shoot again.
Dad had his gun again. But I was still searching for one like it, because it was just neat.
Well. Unfortunately a few months back it became mine.
High Standard Double Nine. .22 caliber. 9 shot. Double action. Nickel plated.
