Yes they are! I remember reading about them a while ago. Apparently the sigs with scalloped rails from '86-'88 were the bad ones. After that the design changed slightly. I was looking at different pictures and some rails had 3 curves, some have 2. I'm not too worried though, the gun is in excellent condition and im sure i wont shoot enough rounds to encounter a problem with the rails.
