"The German gun thread"
Please post photos of your "MADE IN W.GERMANY" or "MADE IN GERMANY" SIG-Sauer pistols. Include any infromationyou feel like sharing... special provenance, date codes/yr of mfg. PLEASE for your own protection tape over or airbrush out the serian numbers on the right side of the weapon.
These are the "Real SIG's" IMHO; flawless operation and reliability, superb balance and old world German quality.
I have six German SIG's; three P-220's and two each P-226 and P-228. I have one of each "made in W. Germany" and one of each "made in Germany". I'll start with my P 228's today and follow up with my P-220's next week and the P-226's the following week, just in case I am the only one interested in keeping this thread going..LOL
SIG-Sauer P228 "made in W.Germany", marked "Exeter NH", date code KB, serial number sequence B 155xxx made in 1991-2, factory night sights (soon heading to SIG for spa treatment,SRT,fresh night sights). This is one of my CCW weapons.
SIG-Sauer P228 "made in Germany", marked "Exeter NH", no date code, serial number sequence B 326xxx made in 2004, std sights. in 98% condition to remain a safe queen
