My new 1911 Colt Gold Cup National Match

This is the find of the century for me. $900. Usually these all go to the quick 3 buyers on the board. She sleeps at the FFL till the 19th.

Darin - I have a friend who has the exact same Colt in EVERY detail. He paid something like 12 for it, and I offered him $2k. Turned me down before I was finished offering! Absolutely beautiful specimen of the 1911 Mod. 70 species!!!!
                How's Tula doin'?

                  Thanks guys.

I think this is worth..Er, I should say..Could fetch about $1,200 pretty easy. But I think I'll keep her.

                  Scott,

Tula is good. did you know it was a spring loaded pin? I assume that was a Russian mod, and not an aftermarket. Pretty cool either way.

                    Harley,

Yeah you are right, hardly "unfired" Maybe "unfired in the last 20 years".

Still not too much wear, and everything is stock. That's what is important to me. VERY SLIGHT idiot mark from the takedown latch. I'd prefer it not be there, as it would show it was appreciated in it's former life.

Here's my Gold Cup. Not a series 70s but still a very nice Colt.
