Some of my friends say I am nuts . . . perhaps they are right 😉
But I have other beauties in my harem - and I make love to them - pretty frequently . . . lolLast edited by Kingair001; 03-21-2017, 12:33 PM.WTB : Bren Ten - WTB : Wildey 45 & 475 MagnumComment

OK, I'm ashamed of my lack of photography skills, but here they are . . .
Still dirty with fingerprints and drool from all those guys at the gun shop. Mine were two of the first batch of 70 that CZC received, but due to work commitments, I could not pick them up until today. It was frustrating reading about all those guys talk about their S2's and mine were just sitting there untouched.
First impressions: Some machining marks on the trigger guard on the Nitride model, but the finish is smoother compared to the Polycoat one. Nitride comes with chrome (?) plated magazines, polycoat doesn't. In either model, the slides are smooth and feel like the nitrided frame. The 20 lpi checkering is nice. I've always wanted 1911 style checkering on my CZ's.
The guns have a nice feeling of weight up front. Even the TSO does not feel as heavy up front. I might shoot them tomorrow unless it snows again.
Others have said S2's have gritty triggers. Both of mine have relatively smooth triggers of the box. The trigger on the polycoat has a tiny creep, but the nitride does not. I understand with CZs, there can be differences in trigger feel from one gun to the other, even on the exact same models. I'll get my Lyman gauge out. Neither has the trigger crispness of my Shadow Orange or TS Orange (I don't have a factory S1 to compare), but for a production model, CZ has done an awesome job. (I also picked up a Walther PPQ Q5 Match today. PPQ's are known to have one of the best factory triggers, but these S2 triggers beat the PPQ Q5's trigger in my opinion. But, they are not in the same price range)
The installed right side safety feels too flat for me, but I'm used to the extended safeties on the SP-01, Shadow, etc. The factory includes an extended left side safety in the box. I'll eventually have them installed.
The extended mag release is very nice. Hope CZC or CGW will come out with something like this for the original Shadow or the SP-01. Interestingly my well used MecGar 10 rounder does not insert into the polycoat S2, I had to pry it out; but it does fine in the nitride S2, drops free and all. A factory 18 rounder from the Shadow Orange fits both and drops free. Maybe the added thickness from polycoat in the magazine well made the MecGar jam.
The grip size is good for me. It is somewhat wider than the original Shadow, but the extended mag release more than makes it up for me.
I can't imagine how a Cajunized or CZ Customized Shadow 2 would feel like. A Shadow 2 Orange would be a wet dream!Last edited by beanz2; 03-25-2017, 7:07 PM.sigpic
