Glad to hear that your upgrades went well. I have always found the race hammer to be a worth while part.

The fame mod is on a 75 SA. It is one of the required modifications to allow a TS slide to work on a 75 variant frame for a long slide build. Generally the material removal is accomplished on a C&C machine but it is possible to do it at home with a Dremel.

Latest couple of enhancements to my girl.

• CGW race hammer and adjustable sear
• Shadow 2 mag release

She may not be the prettiest in this thread but man is she a workhorse. Thousands of rounds through her, all kinds of ammo, and never a hiccup. And these two latest upgrades have just put her over the top. The race hammer really perfected the what was already a darn good action. But to be honest, I appreciate the S2 mag release a bit more. I prefer the palm swell grips but with the added girth, I had to slightly adjust my grip to drop the mag. Not ideal. Caused a couple of fumbled reloads during a match.

The bigger pad of the S2 release is perfect. I can drop the mag without any adjustment of my grip. The serrated texture also feels nice as well. And either the bigger pad lends more leverage or the action is smoother but it requires less force to drop the mag. Very happy with this $35 spend.

Cutting on a CZ frame is not for the timid. I removed a bit of unnecessary material but nothing that will be visible when the slide is installed. Some of the more nerve racking CZ gunsmithing that i have had a go at.

Correct USPSA. I lower the hammer all the way down to the firing pin. I've seen guys with Sigs just hit the decocker but I believe its supposed be lowered all the way down. Maybe depends on the level match you are shooting or the club.



No safety when moving. One more thing to have to think about. I just keep my finger straight and off the trigger.

Yup. Hammer all the way down. I also run an SP-01. I shot a match with my P-01 though and I was made to drop hammer all the way down so it made the decocker useless.

And yeah, no safety during the course of fire. Finger on the slide.
