The GP 100 with the Altamont grips is a nice upgrade. How do the grips feel compared to the originals?

The new GP100 came with black rubber Hogue Monogrips with finger grooves so the Altamont grips feel much better to me. The Match Champion came with Hogue hardwood grips that I didn't like at all. The Altamont grips are a definite improvement.

i owned a Colt King Cobra back in the late 80's, great revolver - ended up giving it to my brother when he was a cross country truck driver for protection
at that time it never dawned that the Cobra would become so much in demand once they discontinued manufacturing them - not quite the level of your Pythons but still a very much sought after gun
so, in an attempt to satisfy my sense of loss over my old KC i decided to buy one of the new production models
honestly, i cannot complain about the new Cobra, the trigger is fantastic and it's a fine revolver - it just doesn't measure up to the older production Cobras

finally found some decent grips for it too - not a fan of those rubber Hogue gripsOriginally posted by BarangI! hate! you! FalconLair.

After a five month wait my Taylor's/Uberti Smoke Wagon finally came in. It's 4 3/4" chambered in .357 magnum.

It completes the set.

While I was at the shop I ordered a 7 1/2" Colt Single Action Army in .45 Colt. I'm curious to see how long it takes for that to arrive.

Some of my favorite DA revolvers:
From the left-
> S&W Model 15 K-38 Combat Masterpiece, 4", .38 Special.
> Ruger SP-101 3", .38 Special.
> Kimber K6S 3", DASA, .357 Magnum.
> Ruger GP-100, 4", .357 Magnum.
The Kimber is over 15 oz. (almost a pound) lighter than the GP-100 (25.1 oz. vs. 40.0 oz.).
