Stopped by the Old Sacto Armory and got my new babies out of the penalty box this morning.
A 586 from 1980, without the M overstamp (i.e.,warranty work on the 5/686 of the -nodash and -1 generations). Came with box and papers, no tools. Grips were not original to the gun, according to the sales guy -- he donated a pair of K/L targets to replace the rubber monogrip. $375.
And second, a Model 36 nodash with a little bit of pitting here and there but in excellent mechanical condition. DOB 1969/70. $290.
I am sad to see OSA go...but geez they provided some nice going-away deals over the last month....
Can't wait to hit the range....oh and the last pic includes a Model 10-5 and a 28-2 Highway Patrolman. Evidence (J-K-L-N) of a full blown addiction.
