    M&P9 vs. Glock 19 vs...?

Those are my two top choices. My top choice keeps rotating between about every other polymer framed pistol out there, but I'm really liking the M&P. The Glock has never been the first choice, but it is ALWAYS second.
Can someone help me figure this out? Why should or shouldn't I get the M&P? The main reason the Glock remains the primary contender is its reputation and because I can buy a .22 conversion for it. I've looked into the Sig pro, Beretta PX4, XD, etc., but those just don't appeal to me like the S&W.

This is primarily going to be used for shooting steel at the local outdoor range, but it will also be the home defense weapon for when I don't have the AR handy and until I get a shotgun =|

    Thanks in advance!

What are you trying to say

Also, if a mod could move this to the handgun forum I'd appreciate it.

      Thanks.

There is your answer. What is the question again?

Get both and buy a 1911 while you're at it.

          Done.

Searches never get me the answers I'm lookng for. Sorry.. Otherwise I'd do it.

Any issues I should be aware of with the M&P?

Hector, 1911 would be great, but I couldn't afford to shoot that very often.

I think you'd like the M&P, that's the gun i first wanted to get, but my cousin beat me to it. he didn't even know much about it but fell in love with it after he picked it up, not recommended try before you buy. but i think you'll like it. probably only thing you'd need to do is fix the trigger for a more "cleaner" pull.

                    Highly recommended the m&p

                    hope this helps

p.s my cousin shot better with the glock 19, but he still loves his m&p

Thank you guys. I did finally manage to dig up some threads and the M&P seems like the way to go. I've had a chance to try all of the pistols I mentioned, and while I was better with some than others, I couldn't really base my choice on initial results since I'm pretty inexperienced with pistols in general.

                      DROS'ing tomorrow....!
