    29-2 @ 7 yards

Hit the range with centerx yesterday. Good day of shooting with a good guy. I know.....I know..... 7 yards. But I've never been able to shoot revolvers well and the bigger the boom the worst it is. So I like this target., last target with the 29-2.

Forgot to upload the pic and now flickr is acting funny. Good thing it wasn't an embarrassing photo like me wearing a banana hammock in Belize.

So what if you can shoot better than me. Nickel's for sissies (did you see the smilies?)

Gave it a go yesterday at 25 yards after putting away a1911. These loads were a bit more stout. The best and worst target of the day. I only shot one cylinder's worth

1" squares. The shot that hit near center pure luck that it landed on paper. Need to work on the placement of my thumbs. I shoot revolvers with crossed thumbs. With the stout loads my thumb was getting battered. On the sixth shot I had a huge flinch, couldn't call the shot at all. Felt like I raised the muzzle @ a 45 degree angle before the shot.

I loaded it up for another go, then my thumb convinced me to empty the cylinder. Couldn't have been that bad. I can't remember which thumb was getting battered, lol.

I'll bet those slippery stocks are making the whole gun jump around. I tried hogues on mine, but the Targets are the best (most comfortable) for my hands. I just squeeze it like I'm trying to break it, and don't sweat the recoil. Of course I am a mechanic, so I'm used to battering my own hands!

curious, do you shoot single action or double action?
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

You can correct my spelling and grammar error anytime.
I welcome it. How else would I learn.

Ok, I think both targets are pretty good shootin"! I too have a 4" 29-2 (and an old 6 1/2" one) and shoot full power loads regularly. I like the smooth grips as they let the gun move a bit without beating the crap out of your hand. Hmm, think I'll take the old Smitty out this weekend and put a few rounds through her...
