    1911 DLC from Titanium Gun

Six weeks ago I dropped off two of my favorite 1911?s at Titanium Gun/ Coating Services Group in Lakeside and Friday I just got the call that they were done. I got them home, reinstalled their grips and wanted to share some pictures as well as give a shout-out to Titanium Gun. They do TIN, ZIN and DLC.

The guns were my Springfield Professional and one of my Les Baer pistols and both turned out great!!! The coating is very reminiscent of an older Colt bluing and everything turned out perfect!

Wanted to share some pictures of the end result.

Nice, I've got a Les Baer on my permit and you've given me an idea.

About a year ago they Ti coated a Feddersen barrel for me to match a Feddersen Bronze-Nickel alloy receiver.

    Pretty good match.

Jeff and his crew do great work over there. I’m already thinking of other projects I can send his way. Thinking possibly a TIN clone of the Cage’s 1911 from Face-Off.

Yes I think DLC is the best black finish. Fingerprint magnet though! Nitride is next best.

I’ve got about 400 rounds through the Pro and 550 through the Baer and finally pulled them apart to check. Granted not a lot of rounds by any means but absolutely zero wear on anything.
