Been searching around for some wood grips for my Firestar... decided to try these:

The fit looks good and to my eyes it seems to make the pistol look of an older design than it actually is.

I know Star was making the Ruby pistol a long time ago but it almost looks like the early generations of Astra pistols, like the Cub (from the 1960s era) that had brown faux wood grip panels.

I don't think I've ever seen anything but the factory black grip panels on the later Star Firestar models so it's a bit unique in that way.

I not sure it would look good on your pistol but I like that bonded Ivory / fake ivory on some handguns.

And my last thought is that I wonder if having photographs, of your loved ones or whatever, under clear plexiglass panels, called "sweetheart grips" , like they did in World War will ever come back into style?

If they fit good that's a bargain, $25 isn't that much these days.

Maybe I've seen more of the standard factory black grip panels because I have mostly seen them in reviews of those Star Firestar pistols when they first came out.
