Incredible, this is really cool.My father's combat knife. He was in the first wave ashore at Green Beach at the south of France about a month after D-Day. He decorated the handle with red insulated wire and did the same around the periphery of the sheath and held it in place with wrapped copper wire. I guess when you're sitting around waiting to go into battle, you do something to keep yourself occupied and not thinking of what's coming.
