Glock 17c gen2?

I picked up a glock 17 gen 2 with a ported barrel and slide. It should say 17c on the slide right?

I am not sure I understand the question. Perhaps a word or two is missing? Are you asking if it should have 17 C on the side or if it shouldn't say that? Honestly I am not sure. Wouldn't surprise to learn some do and some don't. Then again it could have been an aftermarket job.
