With that scope on mine, I just couldn't miss. It's like cheating.

Old school here. The New Model with the litigation-free transfer bar is no where near what the 3-screw is insofar as the hammer clicks, and if you can find a good 3-screw at a decent price, get it over the New Model. Carried one in Alaska for decades in a Bianchi shoulder holster as bear insurance while salmon fishing. The New Model trigger is terribly soft with much creep compared to the crisp 3-screw, and I have owned both, and sold the New Model as soon as I found a 3-screw.

Just carry the 3-screw with 5 rounds, hammer down on the empty chamber for safety. If one cannot stop a bear with 5 rounds of .44 Mag (and I used hot handloads using H-110 back in the day) using a single-action revolver, that sixth round ain't gonna do much more for you. The same holds true if one is hunting with a 3-screw: if one cannot kill a game animal with 5 shots, I'm not going hunting with you, and I know you have not invited me to do so.

            Have a good day!
