Retro Romy Draco and first shoot target
Before and after photos
Romy wood, slant brake and grip. Romy grip is a bit fatter and more comfy than the grip that comes on the gun.
Just need to work out a rear mounting point for the web sling.
Tim

Got the Draco out to the range last Thursday. Here is the first 25 yard target. Took a while to figure out a good grip and a sling will definitely help. Hogue grips are on the way....
Front sight needs to be drifted a bit to the right, but the hole in my SKS sight tool was a little too small for the Draco sight pin. I guess I will be drilling out the hole in the sight tool.

Here is the "covert" UTG case:

Finally got the V1 sling plate made up. came out great, I think I might need it closer to the body.
what do you guys think? closer or leave it that way?
Put the Hogue on, what a difference. I don't know how i shot without it.
another idea is to make a shim to take some of the angle out of the pistol grip, I canalmosthold it out with one hand easily.

I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!Comment

thanks for the feed back, I just could get myself to drill into the reciever.
I will be doing a few (20-30) of these, I know a few of my AK friends are interested. The more I do the cheaper they will be. I will figure a price as soon as I get the CNC time and what type of blackening to go with, Duracoat or chemical.
Give me a couple days.
I will keep you in mind.

From the factory they come with a muzzle nut tack-welded to FSB. You will need a Dremel and a grinding/cutting bit and about two minutes OR you will need some kind of triangle file and a LOT of elbow grease to saw through that weld. Once you break the weld, you just need to depress the little detent pin and spin the nut off in a CLOCKWISE (opposite of our threads) direction. Then you can just thread on just about any AK-47 style muzzle device - you shouldn't even need a wrench of any kind, because the detent pin holds the muzzle device in place.------------------------------------------------------------
iTrader protip: When I buy something from you and I immediately pay, then my part is done. That's all I have to do. You can leave me iTrader feedback and go on with your life. When I get the item, I will leave you iTrader feedback, assuming you've already done your part. See how that works?Comment
