Well, the debate goes on about what mags will work. My question is that are the magazines the same here as elsewhere?? Obviously we have a 10 round maximum, but if I go out of state, can I shoot hi cap mags there and will they go into my little guy without a hitch?? I also wondered about the xd9 tactical as well. Who knows the whole story of which mags fit which pistol, its been a bit confusing and I'm getting my xd in about 15 days.

They're the same. The mfg doesn't change the gun so it can't accept a fullcap mag just because one state has a retarded law.sigpicLord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

You can shoot high cap mags, but in the subcompact they will extend below the grip, but you can purchase grip extensions which will fit on the Magazine. IIRC. The high cap mags will fit and lock with the grip extensions.Comment

Yeah, I looked a few of them up and it seemed that they all fit. I just didn't know if the width was any difference for california model. I am going to look for a standard .40 mag that is a 10 round mag, we'll see if it fits my 9mm.Comment
