The ribs or some internals are gone on impact. Leaves whoever is hit with it a permanent invalid or dead in few days. I'd get one if I could.

Wait wait, what do I do now the first ball didn't stop them. Do I call nerf up. Lame, don't they already have bean bag rounds If they are hit in the head, and cause a brain injury and they live. The family will sue, and cost tax payers more money. If you do not want to be shot, don't be a criminal, don't pull a gun on a cop.

How many times do LEO or anyone else hit their target with the 1st shot?

Will their mags only be loaded with one round to ensure to followup bare bullets?

Innovation is great. Really good ideas are surprising and are often awkward.

With that said, the orange ball looks beyond awkward, silly, to be honest. There are many things that are questionable, like having to install it before taking the shot, and also mixing up lethal and non-lethal in the same weapon.

The "missed first shot" is a huge factor.

But innovation is an evolutionary process and developing non-lethal alternatives is a good thing. It's unlikely it will be adopted in its current configuration, but improvements/alternatives can be born out of the original idea.

                      More power to them.

Believe it or not, I 'invented' something similar to use a regular rifle round to fire a barrel mounted rifle-grenade.

I just thought, "why not just have the grenade 'catch' the bullet so you don't need to carry around blanks?"

IIRC the blanks to launch grenades off M-14 were lower power than regular rds.

I also thought there should be a way to leverage the precision rifling of the bullet with the grenade, to make the grenade fly faster and straighter than whatever the stubby grenade attachment could do.

I was thinking it would be a much smaller grenade but with some real accuracy.

Like the option of firing a low velocity 20mm HE from rifle.

PS-I'm gonna bet soon the police will end up using tried and true old skool "Slave Catching" equip in these 'situations'. Yeah, I said "Slave Catching". Deal with it. lol

What a joke! How about we make a policy that officers must first fire a warning shot. That way, no one is injured or killed and the bad guys will know the police mean business.

                            Joking of course.

They just had news report about this on knbc.

Here is similar news report from San Diego.

Ferguson police training uses less lethal handgun attachment device: http://youtu.be/3-8-Qm1YnTU

I suggest all pro Californian gun roster and 10 rnd magazine supporting police be forced to use these immediately.

This "attachment" will be a joke until it gets someone killed... and it will.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!
