    2" Rossi M461 .357 magnum

So, I have this revolver and it's begging for a new purpose. Does anyone know if another Rossi .357 magnum barrel will fit this frame? I'm looking for a 6" barrel and found a used good condition one on eBay for $50.

    Please advise

What's the value of that Rossi? Is it worth putting cash into a Rossi 641.? Barrel cost and gunsmithing costs would exceed the value. I am guessing the longer barrel has the same thread. One issue would be the lug for the ejector rod....

    Sell and upgrade?

Changing revolver barrels is not easy.
The likelihood of needing some machine work, in addition to having the proper frame holding clamp is high.
The rear face of the barrel shroud usually needs to be cut down to time the barrel to the frame and to be sure the new barrel sticks far enough through the frame to allow a proper cylinder-to-barrel gap to be cut.
You'd pay a gunsmith more than the value of the gun for this job.
Unless the smith has the proper frame clamp, (available? cost? you supply?) he probably won't touch it.
Without the correct frame clamp, the frame could get twisted when unscrewing or installing the barrels.

You're really better off getting another gun with a longer barrel.
