help... glock 35 will not reset trigger

I just installed a ghost ring connector and i polished the contact points with steel wool and a buffing wheel, replaced the springs in the kit. I cant figure out what i did wrong, but when i pull the trigger, it doesnt reset. I took it apart many times and cant figure it out ...BTW this is my first venture into glock gunsmithing

Glocks don't reset when dry firing. Didn't we have this thread about a month ago?

I'm hoping if you're making these types of modifications, you're familiar enough to know that glock triggers aren't automatically reset when dry firing.

If you meant that after the shot breaks, and cycling the action doesn't reset the trigger, maybe try the opposite what this guy says?

I bent mine slightly too far and the trigger wasn't resetting. I bent it back and now works fine.

Did you change the striker spring?

Put the original firing pin safety spring back in
Or make sure the one you used is 'set' properly

Hold the trigger to the rear, rack the slide, and slowly let the trigger out; does it reset?

help... glock 35 will not reset trigger

Yes , you do need to rack the slide in order for the trigger to reset
                I'm guessing that's known
That being said, I did one if those kits, replacing all the springs and my trigger would not reset due to the safety spring, changing only that spring back to original fixed it

Every single one of my Glocks reset when dry firing if they are working properly - any FUD to the contrary is just that. For those that are dim of wit or just slow on the uptake, let me repeat myself: GLOCK TRIGGERS WILL RESET WHEN DRY FIRING.

Put the complete slide assembly on the frame - pistol will absolutely reset. You should perform this test every time the pistol has been reassembled.

OP - you may have bent your connector - it should have some spring action away from the housing when installed, like this:

If you bent it so that it is flat against the housing, then the reset will not work.

If you "dry fire" by pulling the trigger and do not cycle the slide your glock should not reset the trigger.

You have to rack the slide to reset the trigger.
