    Ruger Standard

Anyone have a Ruger Standard? I was looking on picking one up for an ok price. Just wondering if it still fires. Also a bit worried about parts since I know Ruger may not have them anymore.

I have one, made in 1954. Hell of a pistol. Shoots great groups, almost as accurate as a k-22. If it is mechanically clean, I'd say go for it, although getting mags for it are a bit pricey.

If price is cheap why not? I prefer the MKII though with a 10rd mag and a automatic last round hold open.

Most of the Standard parts are identical to the Mark II parts.
