I have a cz I want to get some work done out of state. With the new law SSE is their a chance I might be looking at any re precautions if I sent it off.

Your only issue should be if it needs a new frame. Shipping for and returning from service is exempt from the Roster.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

While this does not pertain to the CZ, but what if it needed a new slide and your current slide is pre LCI, mag disconnect but the new ones are?

Really? That is not what I would have guessed as I would have figured a CA slide would have to be returned after warranty repair/replacement - but good to know! Thanks!!

On an aside - why not just do what SSE did with the slide?

I am not sure what you are asking.

If you are talking about the SSE rules as they are now, the pistol in question has to have been originally made as a single shot pistol, not a semi-auto that was turned into a single shot pistol.

Plenty of people do that. For instance, people replace their LCI Sig slide with a slide from a free state - it is perfectly legal to do so - just as it is legal to remove your mag disconnect safety.

Yes for certain pistols there are ways to get a free state configuration besides SSE. It just costs more and sometimes is less desirable, for instance if serial numbers start becoming mismatched between frame and slide.
