    Glock 21 magazine issue

So I just bought and finally picked up my used g21. Took it to the range the other day and started to load my magazines. They 3 mags it came with though will not load more than 8 rounds. Seeing if anyone could shed some insight on what I could do. New mag springs? Or maybe just new magazines in general. Thanks guys

Are you using California compliant ten round magazines? If so, many of those will hold only nine rounds, with the tenth round a real pain if it will even go in. I have some much older ten round mags, and after some time they will finally take all ten, but it is a struggle. Have also found that some reloads don't want to load as easily. Some folks have found success after leaving magazines loaded for several months to compress the springs a bit.
You might also have success with blocked standard capacity magazines. The most recent generation seem to work well.

For factory 10 round magazines, use a magazine loader.
Glock includes one with every pistol they make/sell.

      Back in 1994...
Issues arose with the first run of 10 round magazines that Glock made (some of them could load 11 rounds).
Glock then used stiffer magazine springs, which makes it difficult to load the tenth round without the use of a magazine loader.

I can only get 9 rounds in my Gen3 Glock 21 magazines.

Are you using factory 10rd mags or blocked 13rd mags?

Yea, "lawyer magazines". Use a speed loader and you'll get them in easier.

I own 10 plus, rebuilt many of them, my opinion, shoot more, with new springs can be a pain, but man up, push that 10th round in. I shoot with others who always ***** they can't load the tenth round, just not pushing it hard enough. The more you shoot the easier they get.

Without an uplula, getting the 10th round in the neutered mags is a real pain.

Well it's a used gun with used mags and they are 10 round ca mags. I m using the factory speed loader and have thought of the uplula. I'll probably just look into blocked 13 round mags.

I don't know of anyone who does that to their Glock mags. They just use California compliant ones.

For Glock mags? I know lots of people used blocked standard cap mags for other firearms.

What are you using to block your Glock mags?

I use blocked standard cap mags for my g19 and got them from Jestice Arms. He does g21 mags too i think.
I would never consider using CA 10 rounders in my g19 with all of the horror stories about the followers.
