Very boring actually, went to a gun auction to bid on it. Sad to say but I acquired it simply by raising my bidder paddle over and over.

The marking in the fifth picture seems to say the gun (frame) was made in October, Showa 13, which I believe is 1938. The seventh and a few following pictures seem to show a Mitsubishi regulator for fuel flow, so I don't think they were part of a firearm.
