    HK P7M13

What is the current status (and and out of CA) of HK P7M13?

I am talking about popularity, collecting, pricing etc.

Seems like P7s are going for $2k+ around here in good condition. I've heard that finding blocked 13-round mags is a unicorn hunt but I have not tried myself. I'm partial to the P7M8 myself.

How does one block a magazine for P7M13?

Fairly uncommon handgun for sale in the calGun classifieds. Most owners won't part with theirs... I won't. Got mine long ago with the high caps. Have only shot it once.. The perfect safe queen.

I was very excited to handle an M13 after experience with the m7 model.

For me, it was a disappointment. It seems overly clunky, block like. I prefer the higher capacity, but the m7 is where it's at for fitting my large hands and concealing.

You mean the M8. P7M7 was the 45 ACP that was never produced.

I really wanted to like these things, just for the cool factor, but when I shot one, it was not what I expected. I can understand owning one as a safe queen or collector's piece, but I'd want to shoot it, and I don't like to shoot it. I guess I'm not into staple guns.

                  P7M13

You can use a P7M10 mag in the P7M13, it functions fine even thought it is a .40., holds 8 rounds.
I had a P7M13 in nickel and blue, sold them to buy 3 P7M8'S, The grip on the M13 was too thick, harder to conceal. The M8 is my perfect CCW gun.

Clunkier/wider than a p7...p7 is where its at..not to common. Becoming more expensive. ..and usually any body who has one wont sell it and has more than one..a shooter and a safe queen...

I rented to test shoot, and almost bought, a P7 M13 back in the beginning of the 90s, and if I remember correctly, the LGS sold it for $800. Do I today regret that I did not buy one? Yes, big time. I personally found it to be easy to shoot accurately with.

I know a detective who carries a P7M8 for work. I got to shoot it at qualifications. Accurate as all get out but damn that thing got hot after a few magazines through it.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

Gun version of the Leica camera fetish. Vintage Porsche as well. Just something about the Teutonic stuff that gets the collectors all excited.
