I know of a few local Gunsmiths that are telling Me they can make it look like a mirror shine, I am real scared of getting it ruined or them buffing down the roll marks or what not. I also know it will devalue the Pistol because I am removing it from its original form, but I am going to have it for a real long time and just want it nice and shiny. Any advice or personal experience sending to Colt is much appreciated. Thanks in advance....
        Big mistake.

        Pimps have polished stainless guns.

You could go w/ some fine black walnut grips like I did w/ my sw625jm.

Thanks guys, I'm leaning now toward just getting the correct wood grips and leaving it Be, the way it rolled out from day one, it really is a Beauty for as old as it is, I will Post a Pic up later for those who are curious of its condition

Wise thinking. Let 'er lavish in her own original skin. Being a 1983 Python, you need to look for GEN III walnut grips-however seek other opinions on which grips to look for (see the photo) as I don't want to be the guy that might have steered you wrong.
              Your Python friend, "brutha" nickel...

leave it the way it is. Especially don't let some third party tinker with it. For definitive results send to Colt, it's their gun.

I would leave it stock...as it came from the factory. If you want BS then look for one to buy, not easy I know, and sell yours.

Pythons are getting so expensive that people are going to start asking for Colt letters to confirm it has been not been mucked with before laying down 3k-5K or much more.
I know I will if I was to buy another rare configuation. ANY work after factory has delivered the gun will equal devalue by a good percentage.....Keep it original.

Do you think there are no fake rare Pythons out there? Fake boxes?
