CZ P-07 Trigger Sucks.

I was actually pretty happy with it all stock, but decided to do a full CGW upgrade.

Wow! Huge difference.

• Smoother all around
• Lighter pull
• Cleaner DA and SA break
• Shorter DA pull
• No discernible creep in SA
• Shorter reset
• Louder, more tactile reset

The only thing that I didn't go for was the lighter firing pin block spring.

Also, installed a set of Dawson Precision sights. They took quite a bit of fitting, btw.

Nice OP. I am just about to install CGW parts into my P-09. The stock trigger leaves something to be desired.

I do not understand why the stock SA release is so far back. The trigger profile could be better as well.

Good gun all around though. Handles well. Not a hickup in 500 rounds so far.

It does handle really nice. Wish I could reach the slide release with my strong hand thumb, tho.

I didn't notice that the SA break point is appreciably farther forward with the CGW parts, but that wasn't a gripe I had with the gun anyways. The DA break feels farther forward, tho.

I don't really have any complaints about the triggers on my p07 or p09 and I think the shoes are more comfortable than any of the cz75 triggers.

Took me maybe 5 minutes to fit/ install Dawson's on them. No problem with the supplied aluminum punches. Very happy with poi.

I haven't tried the curved triggers on most CZs. I'm not real picky about triggers, but I tend to prefer wider, smooth faced triggers.


It was nice to have those punches come with the sights. The nylon faced one will come in handy later, I'm sure.

The front Dawson took a heck of a lot of filing. I think the slot was rather undersized. The stock front even had burrs on the front edge where the slot shaved it.

The rear only took a little bit of filing.
