Problem with new M&P

Hey Calguns!

I recently got a very lightly used M&P (for $400!!!!) and disassembled it to conduct the standard maintenance and cleaning and what-have-you after you purchase a new gun, but when I put it back together I must have messed something up.

Now, before you start insulting me, remember that I am not a professional operator and that ANYONE could make an honest mistake.

How can I undo this?

I am sorry but instantly I think of the scene in 'Something about Mary' when Ben Stiller's character zips his junk up in his zipper. Not only that, the "frank is below the beans".

Don't fret OP. I have made my fair share of mistakes, most are too proud to post or even ask for help.

Personally, I would try to manipulate the barrel until you can get the slide back off. If you get frustrated or aren't getting anywhere, then take it to a reputable gunsmith. It might cost $100+ to get it undone.

Another possible absolute last resort would be to buy a new slide and possibly a barrel and cut that one off. Take special care to not damage the frame as that is the registered part.

You could get to a point where you are going to spend more to repair than the gun is worth.

Easiest thing to do is punch out the roll pins and lift the entire assembly out of the frame. Feel free to on me and I can walk you through it
