Any opinions or experience with a Ruger LCR 9 revolver? I'm considering one just to have a revolver in 9 mm.

No experience with the 9mm version here, but my wife owns one in 38, and I used to own the 22lr version. The LCR in general is an excellent little snubbie with a good trigger. My wife's 38 is very accurate for what it is. My 22lr, not so much. I will get the 9mm version, but I am trying to wait for Ruger to make it in the 3" barrel LCRx version.
As a side note, I have another 9mm revolver......the Taurus model 905. Although I like the gun, the trigger is terrible compared to the trigger on the LCR. And the Taurus is all steel, so it is heavy. Far too heavy for CCW."Bye Felicia!" - Said by me, as I looked at Kalfornia in my rearview for the last time, 9/22/17.

My experience is from the '80's and '90's, when mullets ruled the world!
If azzholes could fly, this place would be an airport!
I support gun control.....if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it!

I have handled LCR 9mm at out of state gun shows and find them very handy. I ordered one from Davidson's for $503 less tax and fees the day after they were added to “The List”. I also own the Ruger Blackhawk 357/9mm Convertible with 4 5/8 barrel, which may be a better choice for a first 9mm revolver. Being built on the 357 LCR frame the 9mm LCR is overbuilt and should last a lifetime even shooting +P 9mm. As a civilian contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan I wish I had one of these inconspicuously tucked in my cargo pocket for peace of mind, 9mm was literally lying around everywhere there…

Thanks for the info, not looking for another carry, just like the idea of a revolver in 9mm. Are there plans for a 3" barrel?Comment

I just bought one today....I wanted it so I could just use 9mm...The availability and cost is better with 9mm vs 38....I am ordering additional moon clips for it...I think is an interesting gun.sigpic

Have you shot one yet? The reviews I saw said that it shot low.Comment
