It's listed on the roster as PB9151L. Currently set to expire on 1/1/2016. Stainless steel Mil-Spec, right?Last edited by Mayor McRifle; 01-20-2015, 5:43 PM.Anchors Aweigh

The PB9151L is listed but I don't see the 9151LP on the list.So im looking to purchase a Springfield 1911 PB9151LP model from online retailers, but im really confused. I hoping you guys could help me out.
Its not listed on CA Roster site does that mean it is now off-roster?
or
Is the gun still available to purchase? because my local ffl and reading from sites said the PB9151LP is still on roster until 3/2015?
Can anyone confirm if its off roster and too late to purchase?
Sorry for the newbiness
Unless the "P" in LP stands for package, which includes extras.sigpic

The "P" is for package and has no affect on DROS.**** your feelings!Comment

So if I saw PB91541LP for purchase on an online retailer, Id have no problem buying it right, since the P= Package, and does not affect DROS?
Sorry again with the newbiness, I just want to be clear on everything!
sigh* makes me really hate CA sometimes.. with all these dam rules.Last edited by TheOriginal; 01-20-2015, 6:10 PM.Comment

I don't have the roster handy because I'm on my phone but if that SKU is listed on the roster minus the "P" then you're good to go. If it is coming from out of state make sure the grips have not been swapped for VZ's as this technically makes it off roster. Springfield has done this to several of their models.**** your feelings!Comment

Correct. Model PB9151LP (SA Stainless Steel Mil-Spec 1911) is on the CA roster and you should have no problem buying one in the state or having a new one shipped in to your FFL from out of state. As mentioned, the "P" can be ignored when it comes to the CA roster. So if I saw PB91541LP for purchase on an online retailer, Id have no problem buying it right, since the P= Package, and does not affect DROS?

Just be aware also that not all online retailers will know about the P designation. Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore wouldnt sell me a SA milspec eventhough I explained its perfectly legal for CA residents to own despite that P designation at the end. Another customer had asked that question under the customer comments section for that gun. A rep said it wasn't legal in CA. I politely pointed out that it was. Guess whose comment got deleted?
