    Glock Pin Walking Out

I was shooting a USPSA match yesterday with my 34 and I had a problem I have never experienced. The smaller pin above the trigger was walking out right to left during long stages of 30 plus shots. I noticed this when it was time to show clear. I pushed the pin back in and went to the next stage where it did the same thing.

I assume I should just replace the pin, but have never heard of this before. Gun has about 2000 rounds through it. It has been taken apart a couple times to work in the trigger.

    Just replace it?

Looks like it's time to replace the gunsmith

From my Experience, the spring that retains that pin is the slide stop lever spring.

Spring could be worn out or not resting on the pin correctly.

Have a glock Armorer check it out.

My G21 Gen 2 did that after 20K+, so a new set of factory springs too care of it.

I've shot a lot of USPSA with my Glock 34 and I'm still on my original pins.

What you need to do is make sure the slide stop spring (looks like a paper clip) has enough force on it to press up on the locking block pin. Also, you should make sure that when you seat the slide stop, the leg of the spring should be to right of the hump on the pin. This will help keep the pin from walking out.

Getting another pin might help, but I'm pretty sure that if you're not installing it correctly, the new pin will simply do the same thing. YMMV
