There was a similar thread about this and from what I recall, the answer to your question is "NO"

No, the de-cocker and manual safety are not interchangable on the SP01. Also, now that SSE is over, the main way to get a Decocker (Tactical) now is through PPT.

You might try to get the smaller P-01 which is a de-cocker and is on the Roster.

Your comment just made me think of something... Since the P-01 is basically the same gun as the decocker SP-01 just shorter, can one swap the guts between the P-01 decocker internals with an SP-01 Safety internals and end up with a decocker SP-01 and a safety P-01?

            No.

The Tactical (Decocker) is not on the roster.

Here is the answer directly from the FAQ on the CZ Custom website

Is there any way to convert a non-decocker to a decocker?

No, the cuts in the frame are different.

            No.

Negative. However you can convert it to SAO.

                Also incorrect.

Again, from the FAQ on the CZ Custom website.

I have a decocker style factory pistol, is there anyway to convert it to Single Action Only?

Unfortunately it is not possible, if this was done the pistol would not have a manual safety so it would not be safe in the SA Only mode.

The cutouts in the frame will not allow for this and even if cuts were made, there would be holes where the decocker used to be.

I understand that some people do not feel safe with manual safeties and that some do not like decocking manually. There seems to be a big debate on what manually decocked is (Safety all the way down vs half cock).

OP, you can either live with it or sell/trade for an off roster decocker model.

I would love to trade frames with you but I only have a BD decocker frame and not the SP01 frame.

Ah, I see. I was still stuck on the saying no for switching in the decocker.

I always advise against turning SP01's into SAO guns.

First of all, if you fully mod the gun, the Single Action pull ends up being short can crisp and with an 85 combat trigger the length of pull is shorter than the flat trigger. Plus, if you have a light primer strike, you can simply pull the trigger again.

Second, it severly limits its use in the gun games. Limited minor is not that great of a division unless you don't miss. If you want to play cocked and locked, simply run it that way. There is no need to pull out the disconnecter and swap the trigger.

They really have become popular as of late.

If you're talking about a SP01 Tactical (de-cocker version), how can they DROS an off-roster gun to a non exempt person with SSE gone?

if it's the P-01 then go for it...It's on the roster.

I have an spo1 with an sao flat trigger and a compact with the standard sao trigger and love them both. Nobody has ever walked away from the spo1 without a smile on their face.
