    Ak pistol jamming?

My buddy just purchased a mini draco ak pistol and it keeps jamming. At first i thought it was just dry so i put a copious amount of frog lube. But even after lubing i keep getting ftes where the bolt would be stuck and would need a mallet to bash open. Any idea on how to fix this?
Bolt wouldnt go back any further than the pic.

What ammo? Have you tried more than one type?

Honestly you might have better luck in the center fire rifle section or the gun smithing

The only easy fix I can think of would be try a different type of ammo, maybe you just got a bad batch of RAS.

If the bolt is getting stuck, I'd say it's probably an ammo issue. Excessive pressure (or weak brass) can cause the brass to expand to the point where it won't extract freely. I don't have any experience with the Red Army stuff, but try some different ammo (a few different brands if possible). If all else fails, call CAI. They'll take care of you.

I know it was the same with the safety off.

Try running it w/o the top cover on it. Recently some of the Mini Draco's that have come in had issues w/ their top cover being bent and the issue would induce malfunctions. I would try that then move on to running different mags and ammo.

Interesting. I didn't see any place where the top plate wouldve caught the bolt. But ill give it a try next time. I think it might be ammo because the ammo we used was from the range and it may have been reloads.

My mini did the same. When the bolt rode over the hammer, it was really rough to the point where every shot would be a either a failure to eject or a failure to feed. Looking at the hammer, it was kinda big compared to the tapco g2 and the surface was blocky if that's how you put it. I changed my trigger to a tapco g2 and polished the insides a little bit. It works 100% better. But maybe that's just me.
