    Magazine trouble

I shoot my 1911's in USPSA type shoots and do quite a bit of shooting at the range for practice. I am using my nasty but accurate reloads and clean my 11 magazines every 3000 or so rounds. I have 3 Les Baer's, 7 Wilson 47d's and 2 Wilson Elite Tactical magazines. They all fail to lock the slide back somewhere in the 3000 round cycle due to getting gummed up with bullet lube. Anyone else have this problem? They all get new springs once a year and are perfect except for that.

Magazines should be cleaned more often then the weapon!

I'm thinking most of us clean our Mags before they get gummed up that bad.
Alittle CLP goes a long way, I'm just saying
      Failure is not an Option
