    Springfield PX9152LP & PX9152L? Help

The roster shows the PX9152L but not PX9152LP... Is it the same gun? I found one out of state and want to make sure is legal here.

Yes, same gun. P is for package and does not impact the roster.

Make sure your FFL understands that before having it shipped.

a shop in my area received a pc9108lp trp that had a sticker on the side of the box that said "not for sale in California". the shop owner didn't want to take a chance and wouldn't sell it except to LE.

That has nothing to do with the "P". Both the stainless and the black non rail TRP's have a roster version and a non-roster version. Unfortunately they both share the same model number so its confusing. If they have the wood Cocobolo grips they are on the roster, if they only have the composite gray G10 grips, they are off-roster and have the "Not Legal in California" sticker. /technically in CA, those would be LEO only.

The black stainless 1911 that the OP wants to buy does not have an off-roster version. However, he has to buy a used one as they are no longer made and he needs to be careful that the gun has not been visibly modified because if it has, its technically off roster now and out of state transfers are not PPT and roster exempt.

Technically yes but your FFL would have to be the biggest roster cop in the state to have an issue with aftermarket sights. You can always ask your FFL to be sure since we no longer have SSE to fall back on. My guess is that your good to go if everything else is stock.
