My friend is interested in buying one those Italian 92S Police trade ins. I looked on the roster, it isn't listed. But the 92FS is. Is this pistol infact illegal?

I've tried to convince him to purchase a more " modern" pistol. But he is set in his ways from the Army with the M9.

Only way to acquire it is via LE sale, out-of-state intra-familial gift/bequest, or PPT of one already in CA.
