Driver license renewal ?

If I am purchasing a firearm this week but will not be able to pick up until after a new renewal license is sent, will that be a problem?

Your DL has to be valid (not expired) to be used for the gun transaction.

right it is now current and will be current when I pick up just with a different expiration date as the time period is overlapping.

As long as your DL is valid & not expired, you can use it.

You will need the hard copy of your new license for pick up. The temp license will not suffice.

Current license is good, then use it.
Some / most dealers may only look at it once.
If needed both times and the DL is current at purchase but expired at pickup then a new license may be needed. If the new license is in hand then there is no issue.
