Curious about this as well. It makes it difficult to focus on the front sight for me. I threw on a red dot on my MI rail to co-witness with the irons but my accuracy is still terrible on my M92.

just do it. Even if it is off to the right or left, you can adjust windage on the front sight.

Wouldn't file it deeper however if at all possible

I think the 200m notch is too wide. I only use the 400m to shoot. Don't have to worry about gaps between the post.

Yea, but it costs $140 plus another $40 for the peep sight. Shipping cost not included. http://www.texasweaponsystems.com/product-p/32315.htm

$200 is kinda steep I think.

I filed my 200 meter sight with a round file. Now I can shoot it with both eyes open just like a normal pistol

Consider replacing the front sight with a skinnier post - that way you don't hurt resale value. Even if you have no plans to ever sell it, a Bubba'd gun is still a Bubba'd gun that fetches Bubba's price...

I filled the 400 meter (don't use it anyways) on my M92 SBR, don't like how it turned out so I just stick with using the 200 meter
