Beretta 92G-SD Owners what does the slide say?

The Wilson Combat Beretta uses the 92G-SD as the base gun so I'm trying to figure out a way to get the gun

Do you have the Wilson Combat version or the ones Beretta produced briefly?

I as pleasantly surprised that Beretta kept a discontinued gun like the 92G-SD on the roster. There was thinking the only Beretta I can find with dove tailed front sight is the 92A1 which is off roster.

I don't know a whole bunch about it Jack, I was offered the chance for my last SSE and I jumped on it. Yeah it's the one put out by Wilson Combat.

Looking at the logo on the grips there I'd say that would be the Wilson Combat model, nice!

Damn that thing looks nice! Great find.

I guess eventually I'll have to call Beretta to find out if the version they are supplying Wilson is the same one that's on the CA roster. If they are the same then I can DROS the base gun and then send it back to Wilson for mods.

And by the way, the 92G-SD isn't the base gun. There isn't a base gun since it was we built of parts Beretta let Bill Wilson choose from. You could argue the frame, being a M9A1, is the "base gun".

You are right. I called Beretta and they confirmed that the current 92G they make for Wilson is a different gun. It's basically a M9A1 frame with a rounded trigger guard and a Brigadier slide. Technically we can get close to the gun by having a Brigadier slide mate with a M9A1 frame but that'll get costly.

Take a M9A1 frame, add a Brigadier slide, have the slide converted to a G, then add the oversize controls and you have a G-SD.

Only downside is that will cost you a lot of money. But so will a G-SD if you find one.

No. The 92A1 doesn't have a beveled mag well or checkered frame. But it does have a full rail and a recoil buffer that the M9A1 doesn't have.

Yea I figured it out today but like you said it's going to be very expensive. The Wilson Beretta basically combines all the best features on Berettas into one. Personally prefer to start with a 92A1 or 90-two.

You're probably better off just buying a glock 34. Parts are easier to find, the trigger is a little better from factory and it's better looking
