Is the SW Night Guard on the Approved List?

Are we here in California, able to get the SW Night Guard 327? I don't know much about revolvers, but this seems to be a nice first one to pick up.

    Thanks

It has a certain 'cool factor', but I don't think I'd recommend it as a first revolver given it's a specialty gun.

With its alloy frame and shorter barrel it can make you "distinctly aware" of firing full-house 357Mag loads.

Perhaps the new 4" 627 (Rostered) may be more up your alley: a good 4" 357 stainless wheelgun like a 686 or 686+ has a lot going for it, and the N frame/8-shot 627 even more so.

I'll 2nd Bill, it's a nice revolver but really designed for someone who already has a feel for them and knows this is what he's after. Save yourself $500 on your first revolver and get one of the tried and true 627 or 686 models that we all have in the safe.

        +1 again...
I have a non-lock model 686 with the 4" bbl with those nice original wood grips. Of all my revolvers and pistols, it's that S&W 686 I shoot the most accurately.
Definitely look at the 627 or 686 models before you go down the Night Guard path...

One way is to use Davidson's Gun Genie - you put in your zip code, then when you find the gun you want you click "Instant Quote" and you will see who the participating dealers in your area are; typically you can buy it right then and have it shipped right away.

              Here's the Night Guard specifically:
