The G36 lost it's luster when I fondled my next newest love......

I had promised my assistant a new handgun as a bonus on a big case we are finishing up. (yes, I'm a good boss!) The Range pistol club is having a S&W sale....plus S&W rebate or spare mags....She needs a decent handgun for her CCW qual....What the hell.

I took her to the range, and we started shooting. She already decided on the 9, since I don't provide .40, and she isn't ready for a .45 (her words, I couldn't dissuade her). Glocks, Sigs, XD's, Kahr, Ruger, nothing was just quite right, so I suggested the M&P compact 9. Grip didn't feel right. Full size M&P 9 was next. BINGO. DROS is in progress now.

In this process, I kinda liked the way the compact 9 felt in my hand. Uh-oh, been down this road before I had to have it. I was in a gun-buying mood.

A perfect companion to my M&P 45, and besides a good deal. A little over 6 hondo OTD + 2 spare mags per gun, not a bad deal.

BTW the S&W rep will be at The Range Sat/Sun if you're interested. Supposed to be some cool stuff there.

I'm not aware of which country carries ( hondo's ) as it's currency.....but never the less.....you are a great boss....and the MP is a fine pistol. Thats why I own two of them my self.

Part II: (the pistol whore goes crazy)

I went back to The Range yesterday to shoot my Compact 9 and to check out the S&W display. The M&P Compact 9 shot well, a sweet carry piece. I was thinking of a J-frame 5 shot, but the Compact 9 isn't much bigger and packs 10 rds.

I wandered around the display for a bit and uh-oh again!

I checked out the 8-shot .357 Nightguard reveolver. 2.5" barrel, night sights, custom rear sight, bead blasted finish, pachmayer grips.......20% off plus $50 rebate....

I couldn't buy it yesterday due to the 30 day BS, but I put it on lay-away. Something to look forward to.
