    Wilson combat beretta

Has anyone had their beretta customized by Wilson combat? I have the 92 and 96 and was thinking about sending them in to be customized. How smooth was the process with shipping and all that stuff?

I hear it is taking a while - check out the wilson subforum in the 1911forum website. From what I gather, people are really liking the mods, but they are taking a while.

You might get more response over on the Wilson board on the 1911 forum.

And while it's not a Beretta, I've shipped guns back to Wilson half a dozen times or so and they've all been pretty smooth. Give them a call and find out what they want you to do.

What I've always done per their direction:

Put gun in pistol rug (note the website used to say not to do this but the customer service folks I've spoke with said to do it to help protect the gun).
Box pistol rug with letter stating what work I wanted done, my contact information, and return address
Ship overnight via UPS...remember to get insurance in case it goes missing
They will then do the work and call me when it's time for payment. I give them a credit card number over the phone.
      Then they ship it back

It's all been pretty straight forward.

I sent my 92A1 to Wilson Combat on the 2nd of September, 2014.

I asked for an update last week.

I was told it is in the final stages and it will ship back to me in about 2 weeks which would be around 5 months since I sent it in.

They only require a $50.00 deposit and they have always been courteous and professional when I called them.

It's taken longer that I hoped but I am sure I will be pleased when I get it back.

They really improve what's already a beautiful firearm. Definitely on my wish list.

I've got a 92 and 96 I'm going to send them. The 96a1 is getting the package posted above changing some of the options and the other one gets a slightly different package since it is the regular model 92.

Turner's has the Beretta M9 with cosmetic blemish on sale right now for $469. My first thought was...hmm this is the perfect opportunity to send to Wilson for a bunch of upgrades and Armor Tuff finish.

Please post pics and a range report when you getting back. I'm interested in having some work done through Wilson too.
