Yes it's a safe, but it takes up no more room than you already have.

It's time for them to STOP buying guns and protect the ones they have until they can afford buying again....
Good lord those things are freakin' expensive! I'm all for a quality safe, but if I'm spending that kind of jack I want to look at it...
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

When I ran out of space, I removed all the handguns from the gun-rugs and began storing them in "plate racks" that I picked up at Walmart for ~$2.79

The plate rack is plastic-coated and WAY cheaper and more compact than ones made for guns. It's just big enough to fit my Desert Eagle.. The gun rugs are now stored OUTSIDE the safe.

My good friend reached the same level of overcrowding.

His first solution was to store the less frequently used guns in a steel job-box but after about 6 months the guns started to show rust even though we rubbed them down regularly. Steel boxes condensate and don't breath...bad idea for gun storage!

He ended up selling about 200 to a couple ffl's during the height of the crisis so he and the ffl's did pretty well. Today he'd lose his shirt because prices are down and on average you lose about 20% per gun plus there's no reimbursement for taxes paid and dros fees.

Currently the best solution for your friend is to store them in the safe in gun socks or (sport socks ) and stack them high. Selling now is a losing proposition and the job-box is a bad idea.

He shouldn't buy anymore or if he does he should trade some to get some.
