CZ 75 - loose grips options

    Hi All,

The grips on my girls CZ 75 keep coming loose - both sides.

I've heard of people using loctite, changing to other grips or using o-rings.

I like the idea of the o-ring best but wanted to ask all y'all what solution worked best for you and where you sourced your solution from and why (I know I can grab loctite from store).

    Thanks in advance!

Plastic, rubber, aluminum, or wood grips?

Loctite use blue not red. Hogue makes cheap replacements. Skies the limit, everybodies paws are different.

Try some small orings between the grip and the screw. I use VZ grips on my 1911's and if you don't use an oring, they come loose after 50 rounds. I believe I used #60 sized orings for the 1911 that I found at Home Depot in the inning department. It's much easier then using loctite.

Rubber o rings from Lowes solved the problem for me.

No no no, they need to be Home Depot orings. When SHTF, those lowes ones just won't cut it

Some have tried clear nail polish instead of Lock-Tite on the threads with success.
I run O-rings on mine and that keeps the screws from backing out.

Do not try to shim the underside of the grips with moisture absorbent material. That may lead to rusting.

Had this same issue. I bought better grip screws. After all the ones I've tried (CGW, the black torx ones that come with checkered aluminum grips, OEM screws, etc etc), the best ones for me seem to be these:

I use a little dab of grease on mine.

                    that's a fact, Jack!

                    Surprised this isn't common knowledge.

I work in an optical office and we use clear nail polish all the time to tighten loose eyeglass hinge screws. Don't know how that would stand up to the shaking of the grip.

why don't you guys try a screwdriver ??? They work great for those screw things.

Sometimes when I screw, I use a rubber. But they suck ...
Besides, my dad says they don't work ...
