    Possible issue with Glock 41

Broke my Glock 41 out of jail a few days ago, have ran about 50 rounds through it. On my initial oiling of the pistol I do not remember seeing this, but as I ran a couple mags through it today, it looked like I was getting some type of flakes. I have never owned a .45 so I was thinking it was just carbon residue of some type. Was shooting fine, no issues what so ever. Once I took off the slide I saw this. Normal?

Pics are kinda blurry. Are you referring to the copper factory lube?

negative, the shiny spot behind the serial number plate. I'll try to upload better pics.

Better pics would help. What are the flakes made of? Plastic, metal, etc..

I can't tell what the OP is asking either. As far as I can tell it looks fine to me.

they were a grey color, the question on hand is about that shiny line that goes across the bottom of the frame, across the front slide rails.

              I am totally confused now.

I don't see the flakes you are referring to, but then again those pictures are terrible.

Did you wipe them off while cleaning?

I could only guess, but might be the rsa rubbing. I don't have any marks there on my gen 4 G17 after 125 rounds. Haven't fired my newly aquired 21 (gen 4.)
hopefully someone with the 45 can chime in...

I think he is talking about this transverse line. I just check my G41 and I have a line there but it seems to be a mold line in the frame and mine is not shiny. That area is plastic, if there is anything shiny there is was likely deposited and should wipe off.

I have a 41, I am just not understanding what the OP is concerned about.

If these flakes were removed during cleaning, I would go ahead and lube it and shoot a few thousand round through it.

yes, that line is what i am talking about. The flakes might have been from something rubbing, not sure.

I'd run another 150-200 rounds and check it after every box.

FWIW I have that same line on my G41, it looks like a plastic mold line. Mine is not silver or shiny so whatever is there should wipe off. But to me, everything looks totally normal in your pics.
