    My Shadows

CZ Custom helped me get these bad boys before the end of SSE like they said they would. I can't recommend them enough.

The single action on my shadow 75 SA is not as nicely done as the Shadow SP01 target. The target has a better finish, but that is about it. For some reason the SA shadow wasn't coated as uniformly (CZC, CGW, and CZ - all said it was normal and it happens ... oh well)

I love the trigger pulls on both, the more I shoot the SA shadow, it does seem pretty close to a 1911, just not as crisp, and their seems to be a bit of a tiny wobble when my finger first settles on it.

The thing I don't like is the safety's have play when I rest my right thumb on it.

Other than that, pretty solid guns. I can see why its a hard decision to go with this or a 1911 9mm platform. Love them both, snag them both if you can is what my conclusion is.

FYI*** i also can't help but give a shoutout to Dave at CGW - the guy is a pleasure to speak with, and has helped answer a ton of my questions throughout my CZ upgrade thoughts and process. Will be definitely sending my P01 to him soon to see what the differences are (I am going to make a guess that he will put a tad bit more effort into everything)

Nice Shadows. The wobble on the right side safety is normal on the Shadows. You must be a south paw. On your DA/SA Shadow did CZC install the short reset kit along with the disco to remove the pre-travel in SA?

Great looking pair. Thank you for the pics.

Agreed, the guy really seams to enjoy what he dose. Lucky us.

On another note, i have noticed that the tumbler style safetys have a little less play than the D style. In part it may also be luck of the draw.

Yeah it's a slight wobble while it sets on the safety. Happens on both the shadows. The DA/SA travel comes with their pre B Short Reset disconnect.
From what I understand this is a drop in part they are getting from CZ designed for all non firing pin block CZ. Before they got this part CZ would have to fit the short reset trigger parts more.

The SA only shadow has a bit of pre travel/ trigger slop at the very beginning where I first put my finger on the trigger on each new mag on the first shot only. It's a tiny amount but still perceptible if you look for it. I have still yet to fire the sp01. I think the trigger slop is just something seating, sort of like the safety's.

I am not sure if they put a priority on guns they sell or work for guns customers ship in. The turn around was 4 weeks for each. They spread them apart to match my SSE and ensured I got them on time.

If you were to send it in, I guess 4-6 weeks is what they would say.

CGW is quoting about 5 weeks currently I believe, maybe sooner now since they won't be doing so many SSE pistols.

                          Can't go wrong with either.

I think CGW has been prioritizing work on new guns due to the end of SSE. He's had my SP01 for almost 6 weeks now and I haven't heard from him yet. I know he's been busy but I'm sure he'll get it taken care of in the next couple weeks so I haven't bothered him about it yet.
