My ffl at mparms said that law enforcement are the only ones able to buy frames alone.
I should have said, no solutions for obtaining a stripped lower? I don't care to buy an entire piece.

The solution will cost more than just buying a complete gun and selling the parts you don't need.

Where are you guys buying slides for these?

A lot of gun makers use Caspian frames/slides, so if you buy XYZ brand it might be Caspian.
If your custom build doesn't require a slide and barrel, then you aren't losing much when the gunsmith replaces parts.
Theres a lot of people who will buy those parts.

Colt is one of the best base guns to build off of.

I think it's partially about what frame you use but also what builder you use to do your build.
