    About to do something stupid

I want to reduce my Glock 22 pistol grip size so it's the same as my Glock 23.

This is so I can completely use and focus on glock 23 magazines. It's also much easier for me to carry a compact size.

Anybody know of any gunsmiths that can do a pistol grip chop on Glocks?

Just curious, are you wanting to keep the 22 for the longer slide? Why not sell/trade the 22 for another 23?

That 1/2" is big when tucking it.

I have cut a full size down to a compact before and I don't regret doing it. The long slide of the full size shoots sooo much better than the compact but when weight is an issue I have the compact option.

People will say that it kills the resale, but if you have no plans on selling it what the hell would it matter. Then they say why not just buy the shorter gun, but the longer slide had so many more advantages than the minimal cost to chop it.

the advantages are negligible, save the money for more practice ammo

Do you care how it looks? If not, then just Dremel.

Sell the 22 and buy another 23. What if you have this work done then decide you do not like it? You will lose the price of the work and need to sell the pistol at a reduced price thus doubling your loss.

If you do not want another 23, just sell the 22 and get what you really want.

It's a Glock, contrary to popular belief they are not collector items, or gold plated. Chop it. I have a 23 that I cut to 27 length and use 27 mags for carry, it's great. And that 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch does make a difference. Many flamed me for it, but EVERY person who sees it in person and shoots it wants it. It just works. Use a mill, and be prepared to stipple, it WILL look like crap at first. The benefits are worth the hassles. Think CCO, basically a Commander slide on an Officers frame.

Someone was selling a g22 with reduced grip in the marketplace. Was bumbing it forever until he finally priced it $100+ under.
