    Moving fn SoCal to NorCal

Thinking about moving to the Concord, CA area this year from SD county. Any thoughts about selling guns in SoCal or NorCal. Also any thoughts on gun climate up there?

Ehh that's tough, I've had good luck selling things in SoCal but depending on what you have the Bay Area might be a better market.

Oh and my understanding is that the Bay Area is nowhere near as gun friendly as SD

Sorry for you. Not 2A friendly.
Best to sell your holdings in SoCal. Beautiful area but very culturally different than SoCal.

      Sell me your stuff. 😄

Sorry but I'm confused, Your moving within the state. Why would you need to sell your guns? I didn't know there's a difference in gun climate in Northern and Southern California?

Outlawz-The idea is reduce inventory to make moving easier.

It seems like you can sell your guns for better prices in NorCal.

Thanks for the explanation big50_1, I understand your reasoning now. You have that much inventory that may need you to lighten the load to move? What do you have?

Saw where Pleasant Hill CA is/has put added restrictions on FFLs in the city. That is just south of Concord. Wonder how that affects ranges? Anyone live up there?

I live in pleasant hill. Very friendly neighborhood and same gun restrictions as southern cal as that is where I am originally from. United sportsman is a descent outdoor range right there in concord and there are a few descent gun stores as well. You will be fine

I don't feel that the gun culture differs between southern cal and northern cal. Enthusiast everywhere. However, what differs is that socal has a much larger population base to draw upon. That means you have more guns offered for sale and a larger pool of potential buyers than in norcal. Check the Marketplace and you will see how many more guns are available in socal. As a corollary, we do not have as many LGS or FFLs as you do in socal. So, although we have fewer potential buyers, if you have a popular or in-demand gun, you might be able to get a better price in norcal. Hope this helps...now please pm me with the list of things you want to sell.

What do you have? I can help lighten your load once you move to concord.

me too!! lol im in walnut creek, a bt south of concord but another universe away. concord is pretty a2 friendly, depending on the location. i think gun prices in norcal are inflated for sure. i usually drive to sacremento to get better deals.
and yes the outdoor range in concord is ok.

                              Concord.....still Southern California.
"I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them."

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.
