I just bought a used glock 36 off of gunbroker. I have never had a glock before nor have i ever really handled one. I have noticed that when i dry fire the weapon and i pull the slide back, the firing pin is protruding from the breech face. Is this normal? I have also noticed that when i start closing the slide it will retract when the slide is almost nearly closed. I have not tried to fire any live rounds out of it.

Pulling the trigger actually cocks it. Until then, it just sits there."A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......CiceroComment
